The Abandoned (but accessible) Rail Station at Liberty State Park
An easily accessible glimpse into New York and New Jersey’s industrial past is through the abandoned Central Railroad of New Jersey Terminal in Liberty State Park. Forming a beautiful architectural triumvirate with Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty, the interior of the terminal has been renovated. Many of the old signage was retained and the overgrowth on the tracks is quite beautiful. More photos.
